“How dare you?” Lorenzo yelled, as he pulled the throttle on the motorbike. Pylons blurred in his peripheral vision holding the overpass. The engine glowed an unhealthy red, consuming dollar fifty worth of gas every single second. He reached for a rocker switch to fire up nitrous oxide and catch up with the bastard, and at that moment, he saw the condemning face of Barack Hussein Obama II — an American politician who served as the 44th President of the United States from 2009 to 2017.

Barack Obama was on the face of a thousand dollar banknote and, coincidentally, the dearest objects in Lorenzo’s life. Other things would rush in front of his eyes, but that would happen another day, the day of his horrible and stupid death. This day, he only saw a neatly stacked wad of thousand dollar bills, right before hitting the back of a parked garbage truck.

This short situation is based on Centina Pentina Weekly Prompt: Spare Change. I had a $1.50, which accounted for 150 words of this postcard fiction.
