“The plan’s not working!” Gerald gripped her arm but his grasp wouldn’t hold for long. Lillian’s hand began to slip. He cried.

“It’s alright,” she sputtered. Tears streaked her cheeks.

“No, you don’t know what you’re doing!” Gerald yelled.

“Let me go.”

“Hold on, I have you!”

Lillian’s face disappeared.
