The Dictator and the Mob Boss
Weekly Centina Prompt
In an unusual space and time two famous people sat at a poker-table.
‘Hah! Two pairs!’ Al Capone reclined with a content smile.
‘Hold on, friend,’ said Julius Caesar and showed. ‘Veni, vidi, vici. It’s full house.’
‘Impossible! You’re cheating!’
The dictator seized the crumpled dollars and the shining talents with a grin.
‘Told you, Alphonse: you have to learn how to lose.’
The scared face of the notorious mafia boss turned red. He lifted his Thompson gun from the ground and emptied its magazine in the surprised Caesar.
‘A Roman should never tell a Neapolitan what to do.’
