I was enjoying the cool breeze and gazing into the beautiful starlit sky when my four-year-old son joined me. He followed my gaze and then said, “Those stars are tiny. I wish we had something bigger.”

I said, “We used to have one. We called it the moon.”

“What happened to it?”

“When I was your age, a massive rock from space almost hit us. Everyone on Earth nearly died.”

“How did you survive then?”

“Luckily for us, the moon came between us and the rock, and took the hit. And that’s how the moon saved the earth.”
