True Love’s Doubt

I was hoping for a kiss

Image public domain, modified from original.

I told her that I loved her.
Then I showed her the ring.

I was hoping for a kiss,
But passing out must be her thing.

Now I feel alone and realize my doubt.
Should I wait for my love to wake
Or simply head on out?

Au revoir, love.
