When I woke up, I found myself in a hospital bed surrounded by doctors and nurses.

A doctor leaned forward and said, “Welcome back, Mr. Roy. You were in a coma for twenty-three years after a car accident.” He paused. “I have both good news and bad news.”

I was too weak to say anything.

“First, the bad news. You were twenty-five when the accident happened. You lost the best twenty-three years of your life.”

“Now the good news. Two days before the accident, you bought 10,000 shares of Amazon for two dollars apiece. You never sold.”
