Your alarm rings at 3 a.m. What are you doing up so early?

Are you a spy with a rendezvous? Does your nocturnal owl need a walk? Is your alarm clock stuck on 3 a.m. and there’s no way you can stop it, break it, or change it? Are you up to watch a once-in-a-thousand-year celestial event? Is 3 a.m. the only time you can travel to an alternate reality?

We grant you there are some people who enjoy getting up in the middle of the night when the world’s quiet and still. Some people have jobs that require them to be a full energy when the rest of the world’s asleep. And there are those who have cats and have no choice. What we want to read about is your unusual reason for waking up in the middle of the night.

Amaze and enlighten us with your 50-word story. As always, be sure to include Pentina as one of the tags.
