This month Centrality launched its new reward programme, which allows CENNZ token holders to receive real Centrapay (CPAY) reward tokens.
We did this because when we move to public staking in early 2020, we’ll need a pool of spending (aka gas) tokens in the network, and we wanted them to come exclusively for current CENNZ holders.
The staking period finishes on 25 January 2020, so it’s not too late to join. Click here to stake your CENNZ and earn Centrapay rewards. You can use the referral option to earn bonus Centrapay if you stake 8000+ CENNZ in one transaction. You can find out more about it here or the Japanese version here.
I flew to Japan to attend the NZ Technology Showcase on 24 October. It was a great networking opportunity and exposure for the Japanese arm of the business. While I was there, I was fortunate enough to attend the Rugby World Cup 2019 semi finals and host some of our valued partners in Japan thanks to New Zealand Trade & Enterprise. It would have been nice to win the world cup, but we had a productive trip for Centrality anyway!
Centrality is going back to Singapore next month for FinTech Festival on 11–13 November. This year Singapore FinTech Festival & SWITCH merge to synergise themes of FinTech and Deep Tech, and it’s going to be even bigger than last year, expecting 65,000 attendees from all over the world. Centrality will be at the New Zealand county pavilion, showcasing innovative solutions in FinTech industry alongside other Kiwi businesses. Meet us at booth 5E17 with our friends PLUG, Sylo, Centrality FinTech, Centrapay and Trackback.
From a development lens, we are integrating the newest version of PLUG into CENNZnet which will help us prepare for public staking next year!
Here’s what the rest of our ecosystem have been up to this past month:
PLUG
This month we completed our upgrade to Substrate 2.0. Our core team will be focusing on network stability, and to do this we will be running an internal closed TestNet on Substrate 2.0. Once that is finalised we will implement the new PLUG code (PLUG 1) into the other networks running PLUG including CENNZNET.
Not only has our tech had an upgrade, but our website has too. We’ve been refining our message and making it even easier to understand how you can implement PLUG into your business. Take a look at our new PLUG website here.
Finally, we announced our PLUG token withdrawal. You can now withdraw your PLUG tokens via the TGE app. If you haven’t withdrawn your tokens yet, we encourage you to. Need some assistance, no stress, follow the step by step instructions here, or you can contact our team at support@tgeapp.com or support@plug.team.
Sylo
Following a successful launch into global app stores last month, Sylo are experiencing hot demand for their fully decentralised Messaging and Smart Wallet app. Market response to the release is proving to be overwhelmingly positive, with the platform already experiencing high volume uptake across more than 20 countries. Things may be going great guns externally but at headquarters, Team Sylo have not let up the pace. The team continue to enhance UX and release new builds, and are pushing hard to meet their next big feature roll out, which will be Bitcoin integration.
Make sure to jump in and download the app now if you’re yet to experience Sylo, or if you’re already a user, check for updates to make sure you’re enjoying the latest version.
