The strategic partnership will see mass adoption of blockchain in Japan

Centrality has partnered with Tokyo IoT (Internet of Things) platform company Jasmy to drive further innovation of the IoT industry in Japan.

The collaboration will enable Jasmy, which is headed by former Sony COO Kunitake Ando, to build its IoT platform on top of Centrality’s blockchain platform and utilize its services including digital wallet CentraPay, digital identifier SingleSource and communications tool Sylo, among others.

At the heart of the partnership is PL^G, Centrality’s high-performance, scalable, cross-chain blockchain platform. A key focus of the partnership will be to enable mass-adoption of a blockchain-enabled autonomous IoT network.

Centrality Head of Technology, David McDonald said, “With smart electronics technology already being widely adopted in Japan, partnering with Jasmy is an exciting opportunity that will bring blockchain-enabled applications to millions of IoT devices across Japan.”

Jasmy Deputy President, Masanobu Yoshida said, “Centrality shares our vision of decentralization, making it an important partner for us. We are pleased to be collaborating with Centrality to deliver an IoT solution with unmatched data security for Japanese customers.”

The Secure Knowledge Communicator is a call center solution which will be launched in the initial phase of development, and its first proof of concept will be showcased at the Japan Blockchain Conference in Tokyo (June 26–27). This will be the world’s first demonstration of the Secure Knowledge Communication solution, which is secured on a private blockchain ledger, protecting users’ personal data and providing agents with verified information.
