Stakeholders include some of China’s leading consumer brands

Centrality has formed a partnership with consumer powerhouse InfiniVision.

The partnership, made official in a signing ceremony during the Japan Blockchain Conference (26–27 June, 2018), will bring consumer-facing blockchain solutions to the Asian market. Working together, Centrality and InfiniVision teams will create bespoke blockchain solutions for each of InfiniVision’s stakeholders and beyond. Currently InfiniVision are working with McDonalds China, Chinese investment company CITIC, and Chinese department store conglomerate BaiLian on various initiatives. The alliance will enable Centrality to enter China with Big Data, Internet Services and Innovation capabilities.

Centrality is a decentralised marketplace for applications that are connected on a blockchain-built platform. By using the same platform, businesses can share merchants and content, which fosters their growth both independently and as a whole. Its alliance with Asia’s leading consumer brands signals its continued growth in the region, and around the globe.

Earlier this year, Centrality announced a separate partnership with Wanda Internet Technology Group, the tech arm of Chinese conglomerate Dalian Wanda. Centrality also announced today a major partnership with a Japanese IoT provider, in line with its growth strategy for Asia.

Centrality Co-Founder Aaron McDonald says, “The key to blockchain’s success is mass adoption and we’re thrilled to be creating technology to shake up the fast food, banking and shopping industries in China. With more than 660 million smartphone users in China, this partnership presents a huge opportunity and will be a great acid test for our infrastructure.”

Charles Cai, co-founder and President at InfiniVision, says about the partnership, “There’s great potential for blockchain to bring about digital transformation in China — but it is difficult for large corporations to implement due to shortage of experts in the industry as well as trustworthy platforms. This partnership between InfiniVision and a fast-moving startup like Centrality is promising and will pave the way for Chinese consumers to embrace blockchain.”

InfiniVision and Centrality will begin rolling out new projects in 2018.
