With our development making leaps and bounds, and exciting opportunities continuing to arise, we want to ensure we were making the most of our position in this fast-moving space.

Improvement comes only with self-reflection, so we have been taking a good hard look at ourselves.

We decided that the way we were running things didn’t quite cut it.

We wanted to do better. Be better.

It was time to UNthink our existing practices, shake up our team structure and put in place a set of people leaders — experts in their field — to lead the charge into the future!

Cue the Centrality Technology Council.

To continue to relentlessly raise the bar on our performance and our delivery, we needed to put in place a support structure that would allow our people to perform to the best of their ability.

Our technical team is now comprised of small highly-efficient self-managing squads, supported by the innovation-focused Tech Council. Introducing our Tech Council below:

Wilfred Godfrey

Chief Technology Officer

Twitter: @CentralityCTO

Wilfred has worked in technology both as an engineer and architect for 15 years and is a world expert in the next wave of disruptive technologies. He’s the mastermind behind the ‘Doughnut protocol’, which powers Centrality’s decentralised app ecosystem and the next generation of decentralised technologies, including decentralised storage, consortium chains, and decentralised access control. Wilfred is active in the fields of AGI research and complex systems design.

When Wilfred’s not in the office, he enjoys motorcycling, reading Ian Banks, and getting out in nature.

Jordan Maddison

Chief Design Officer

Twitter: @jmaddison

Jordan has been the lead designer for branding, UX and UI across more than 10 successful start-ups to date. With a unique flair for bringing design and new technology together, she ensures users get the most out of the experience that will lead Centrality into the future.

When Jordan’s not flexing her design skills for Centrality, you can find her practicing her hand at sewing, socialising with friends and spending all her money on online shopping.

Marco Brondani

Chief Information Securities Officer

Twitter: @marcobrondani

Marco has over 20 years experience in computer science and technology. Before joining Centrality, he spent 13 years as an information security expert and white hat hacker. He is always looking at new technologies and what they mean for the privacy and security of the users.

Outside of keeping Centrality safe and secure, you’ll find Marco playing Go, or trying to capture the beauty of the world through his camera lens.

Wilfred, Jordan and Marco are working closely with our CEO to bring Centrality’s vision to life. They are armed with a full toolkit when it comes to guiding teams to succeed. They are passionate, talented and smart as hell — just like the teams they empower and support.

Their leadership is propped up by two newly created roles, Head of Blockchain and Head of Operations and Enterprise.

We were lucky enough to recruit from within to fill the role of Head of Operations and Enterprise; we couldn’t have found a better fit for the role than Matic Lesjak.

Matic Lesjak

Head of Operations & Enterprise

LinkedIN: Matic Lesjak

Matic has been in the tech industry for 8 years, working in blockchain for the past 3. Matic has a solid understanding of the New Zealand tech landscape after immigrating here 6 years ago from Slovenia as a Software Engineer. Matic is a champion of the Centrality vision and describes his leadership style as leading by example. When he’s not waving the Centrality flag you can find him mountain biking and whitewater kayaking.

When it comes to the Head of Blockchain, however, we are looking for something that we haven’t yet seen. They will be brilliant, they will be innovative and they will be endlessly curious. We know they are out there somewhere.

If you are interested in applying for our HOB role, email peopleops@centrality.ai with your CV and cover letter.
