Every company thinks their culture is the bee’s knees, but at CENNZnet we are quietly confident we have the real deal. Our team is small but powerful and we genuinely enjoy working together to push the boundaries of blockchain.

We offer loads of opportunities to follow your own passions, bring new ideas to the table and work together to deploy some truly awesome projects. And if you have a blockchain side hustle, or want to finally bring your decentralised passion project to life, the team is there to help you!

At CENNZnet we provide:

  • Hybrid working mode (remote + at the office)
  • Competitive salary package
  • Skill development & support with passion projects
  • A Dream-Team of young creative people committed to UNf*cking the world
  • Strong work-life balance
  • Summer hours- half day on Fridays to make the most of the summer sunshine

But don’t take it at face value. Here’s what our team says:

Jason Tulp: Software Engineer

At CENNZnet I’ve really enjoyed figuring out the crazy blockchain world with the help of a knowledgeable and supportive team. I’ve acquired a lot of skills, the one I’m most proud of is the ability to code in Rust (even though I’m still learning). My favourite project so far has to be the mass drop project. It was cool being able to orchestrate the experience and research the best way to achieve it.

The best day so far at CENNZnet is tricky… hard to narrow it down to one but I enjoy the days where I get my code to work and the Rust compiler finally gives me the all-clear!

Amy Wang: Community Developer

The most striking thing about CENNZnet is getting to work with intelligent and genuinely supportive people. I come from a software development background, so my role at CENNZnet has allowed me to learn a lot about blockchain technology. In addition, I’ve also been developing my public speaking and presentation skills.

My favourite project so far has to be my involvement in the CENNZnet DApp Hackathon. It was exciting to see so many groups of passionate people working toward bringing their ideas into reality over a weekend. I’ve also really enjoyed our internal hackathons, most recently working with our partners at CarbonClick. I teamed up with 2 talented developers from CENNZnet and CarbonClick. We had a fun day building a prototype together. We started from brainstorming, then wireframing and planning a reasonable amount to build in a day. We each did what we were good at. In the end, we presented the vision as well as the prototype.

Elizabeth Izmailova: Marketing Manager

CENNZnet is a place where your ideas are heard and you’re given a lot of space to grow and be creative. You also get a boost of inspiration every time you talk to your colleagues, as the CENNZnet team is a hub of passionate and innovative minds.

Being a part of the startup means there’re very few limits to your responsibilities. You can be a marketing manager by morning, a product manager by the afternoon, and an event coordinator by night. So you get to learn a lot and feel like you can solve any problem.

The project I’m most proud of is our recent NFT module launch. We wanted to show New Zealand how easy it is to build NFT DApps and how endless the possibilities in the Metaverse. We hosted a record number of events in a week, including workshops and a hackathon, and ended up working with so many talented people who managed to build killer DApps in just 2 days.

Yang Gao: DevOps

The best thing about CENNZnet has to be the culture. People are soooo kind and patient! Working here I’ve acquired many new views of using blockchain, it’s actually changed my understanding of a blockchain network. Specifically, I’ve also started learning JS as most of the services are written by JS in CENNZnet. Every yesterday is my best day at work… I always have new exciting findings!

Karishma Bothara: Senior Developer

I’ve been working at CENNZnet for 4 years now and what’s really made it special for me has been the unique work culture. Here the team is always supportive and kind. There is also a really good work-life balance and opportunities to be flexible.

I’ve had the opportunity to really delve into blockchain and learn nextjs, react, typescript, solidity. My favourite days here are whenever I feel I am contributing productively!

CENNZnet is hiring! Check out the roles we have on offer and join our brilliant team.
