How to Participate in the Centrifuge Crowdloan

A step-by-step guide

Happy to see you here! Following the success of the Altair crowdloan, we are already seeing a similar trend as Centrifuge claims the highest number of contributors (way to go community!):

Before we jump into the guides on how to contribute, here’s a few facts about our crowdloan:

• There are 65.7 million tokens (15% of supply) allocated to reward crowdloan contributors.
• Following a successful campaign and deployment of the Centrifuge parachain on Polkadot, reward distributions will be made on-chain: 20% of rewards will be available to claim immediately, and the remaining 80% will be vesting over the course of the lease (96 weeks) on a linear block-by-block basis.
• The Centrifuge team plans to bid for all 8 lease periods of 12 weeks each, which will cover lease periods 6 through 13 (96 weeks).
• The crowdloan campaign is already live and the auctions start Thursday 23rd December. They will end once a parachain slot is won, or at the end of the first five auctions (approx. March 11, 2021), whichever comes first. This gives Centrifuge the flexibility to participate in all five initial auctions.

How to participate:

1. Unbond any locked DOT tokens. More on the PolkaWiki here.
2. 2) Contribute via Centrifuge portal (recommended); Exchanges: Kucoin, OKex, Kraken; Partner: Parallel Finance; or Polkadot portal (note: recommended for advanced users)

3) Contribute to our crowdloan and earn native CFG tokens as a reward.

Contributing via Centrifuge Portal (Recommended)

1. Make sure you have your DOT wallet connected to the Polkadot.js extension with enough fees to pay the transaction (~0.XXXX DOT) plus your desired DOT amount to stake.
2. Once connected, head to https://centrifuge.io/parachain/crowdloan. If your wallet is successfully connected, you will see something similar to this:

3. Type in the amount you would like to stake and click “contribute.” Bonuses will be automatically added :)

Other ways to contribute

1) Contribute directly via Polkadot Portal

DOT holders can contribute directly to the Centrifuge crowdloan through the Polkadot portal.

2) Contribute through an exchange

Centrifuge has partnered with three leading exchanges (OKex, KuCoin, and Kraken) to allow their users to contribute directly to our crowdloan. If you plan to use a participating exchange, please refer to their websites for instructions on how to do so: Kucoin, OKex or Kraken.
