The eastern side of the Luzon Island also has the mountain range called the Sierra Madre, known as the Eastern Backbone. This tropical forest-rich mountains from the provinces of Cagayan in the North stretches to 680 Kms to the Quezon province in the South creating a border in the Pacific that blocks the northeast monsoon and the waves of the Pacific Ocean.

In the South of Luzon, you can take a visit to the perfectly coned shape Mayon, an active Volcano in Albay that displays it’s fiery fountain of lava during the night.

Meanwhile, there are also some tourist spots if you plan to live in the Metro Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Intramuros in Manila is very rich in historical infrastructures which still has the remnants during the colonialism of the US, Spaniards, and Japan.

The English language is commonly used in the Philippines, which again makes it a good attraction for foreigners to set roots in the country. Most Filipinos can converse in English well and it is widely spoken all over the country.

Speaking in English may also be a challenge to some Filipinos but they can understand your message, at least in general. Some may not be able to express themselves fluently in English but they are always willing to offer a helping hand. This is a real advantage to a foreigner as English is seen as the global language so people can live, work and enjoy their life in the Philippines and be understood.
