Hi Clashanians! With Chain Clash going live in just a couple of days, we wanted to make sure you are absolutely prepared to kill it in the arenas from day 1. Without further ado, here are some useful tips and info to guide you through our game.

Getting started

Chain Clash is free to play — however, you will need an EOS account or an EOS wallet to start playing. We need that to correctly assign all avatars and in-game items — you wouldn’t want your 120 level Legendary celebrity avatar lost somewhere in the process, would you?

All users can log in with their wallets via Scatter, but Wombat is our absolute favorite. It’s a solid entry platform, as it’s free to onboard and has a free transactions pool so that users won’t have to deal with staking.

Then, after you log in, the only other thing you need is to claim your first avatar. That’s it!

Your avatar

Every avatar is essentially an NFT, so you can be sure these digital fighters are 100% yours. In the context of clashing, they are playable characters with a set of stats or attributes. In total, there are four of them:

  • Strength
  • Agility
  • Resilience
  • Wisdom

These are also your most flexible development indicators. All avatars start with the same attribute values but they will evolve differently. That depends on which stats you decide to pump and also which clan you choose.

Avatars also come in different rarities. Getting a higher rarity avatar in the beginning is a good booster, as these come with a couple of perks, too.

Your clan

Chain Clash features many major blockchain clans to welcome fighters seeking camaraderie and fame. And we expect many more to come! When looking for a clan to join, you may want to keep in mind that:

  • Clans are inspired by blockchains, and so are the attributes of their avatar members. The Bitcoin network is more stable but it lags behind in terms of updates. Because of that, Bitcoin avatars will gain more in Strength when leveling up, but less than others in Agility.
  • We’re planning to hold a lot of clan-centered competitive events to test their unity, spirit and combined clashing skills. That said, you are not limited in clans for your avatars to join. Explore and see where you like it best!

Your first clash

Entering the arenas for the first time is certainly exciting! We understand that you might feel anxious about things not being clear right away, but rest assured — it’s all fairly simple:

1. Pick an avatar
2. Select an arena. Cyberpunk scenery, a temple, a space station — and many more. Your glorious battles deserve an epic stage!
3. Build your fighting strategy with offensive and defensive moves.
4. Prepare to meet your opponent.
5. Watch the clash unravel in an Oscar-worthy battle scene.

Your other activities

Clashing just for the sake of it will keep you high up in the leaderboards, but where’s the fun in that. You might want to switch to Training to advance your avatars’ attributes. We’d also recommend stopping by our Challenges screen every now and then to see what kind of extras you can get from clashes.

You can also put an avatar or two our for sale in the Marketplace or get some — if you feel tempted by their stats or unique cool names, that is.

Your future with Chain Clash

Things are going to get even more intense once we roll out a couple of major updates. These include Seasons, Tournaments, Avatar Merging and many more. So it really pays off to start playing right now to have enough merging stock and be ready for major competitions!

Hungry for more?

We only covered the basics to ease you into the game — but there is an extensive “Chain Clash Unraveled” guide for those who want to be prepared to the max.

See you in the arenas on April 2nd, Clashanians! We’re looking forward to witnessing your ballad-worthy victories!

About Chain Clash:
Chain Clash is a new, blockchain-based collectible and fighting game. It basically lets you take the arguments you have on Crypto Twitter into a game by representing blockchains and crypto projects through so-called avatars, some of which are humans. Think Pokemon x Crypto Kitties x Celebrity Deathmatch for Crypto Twitter. Sounds easy? Check out more details on our website or join our Discord.
