As the web3 ecosystem matures, end-user adoption of dApps and smart contracts matters to anyone building on, investing in, or caring about the ecosystem. User adoption becomes a defacto way of understanding the trajectory of the product or protocol.

We started Chainbeat to provide blockchain data insights that help understand usage and behavioral metrics for smart contracts for the core product team. We are now adding another tool to the arsenal — Community Reports. The product team can now create public reports to showcase product adoption and share them with their entire community.

The Community Reports are accessible to everyone through the Chainbeat portal, and it includes features like search, sort, and various sharing options. This effort aims to provide a way to benchmark metrics across dApps in a meaningful way. It also provides a way to foster community discussions and product decisions based on data.

One can also browse all community reports created on a user basis.

List all Community Reports from a user.

Create comprehensive, in-depth information that showcases smart contracts’ activities and publish them using the Chainbeat Report Studio. Once published, the reports are updated regularly and have up to date information all the time. The Report Studio provides various customization options to convey the data to best suit your needs. Check out this step-by-step guide for creating a Community Report to get started.

Chainbeat Studio Report Customization Options

To summarize, using this new feature, now you can:

  • Create and publish Reports, and it will be publicly available.
  • Can cross-compare metrics between various projects within a blockchain or across blockchains
  • Enable comparisons with benchmark projects that can unlock answers to critical questions such as — “How active is the network?”, “How is the network used?”, “How is the network distributed?” etc
