Today we’d like to share some updates from our side. This article should clarify the current state of the Chainbreakers franchise and explain some of the recent updates that we’ve just uploaded to the account management.

Move your Pets to Ethereum Mainnet

We’ve released a bridge to the Chainbreakers web inventory that allows users to transfer Pets from Matic to Ethereum Mainnet. Our crowdsale in late 2019 happened on Matic Network and now you can move the valueble pets to the Ethereum Mainnet to trade them on OpenSea.

Please read the nft bridge guide and contact us (Twitter, Discord, Email) in case you have problems. The bridge will work in the other direction in the near future. Matic is constantly updating their product which is why we’re going to align this update with the release of ToA to reduce costs.

Update on Trial of Artemis

Our efforts to ship ToA in time didn’t pay off. We underestimated the complexity and dependencies on the tech stack. This combined with a very weak crowdsale results in a delayed launch. We cannot announce an official release date at this point due to various reasons explained in this article.

Chainbreakers in Decentraland

Everyone on our team is excited for the Decentraland launch. A successful launch of the Decentraland metaverse will be very beneficial for the entire Chainbreakers franchise. We’ve offered Decentraland and other parties the opportunity to host static Chainbreakers scenes on their estates.

No release dates? Why?

Delays are very common in the early stage of the web3 ecosystem. We need to face ours and should be honest about it. It was never our intention to delay our promises but over the past 2 years various things happened that forced us to grow Chainbreakers into something bigger.

Bear in mind that Chainbreakers is not only the single Decentraland game anymore. We’ve grown the metaverse project into a franchise that aims to ship multiple games. Watch this video commented by our project lead to get an overview about everything our team has achieved so far.

One reason for the “franchise decision” was to increase the chances to on-board VC investors to continue the growth of Chainbreakers. It’s very hard to find an inventor when your entire product depends on the success of Decentraland. Thanks to interoperable NFTs we could pivot on this.

At the same time we had artists and programmers employed that were paid and needed to work on something useful while we were waiting for certain updates and improvements within the Decentraland SDK. Their project has evolved a lot since we started working with them in early 2018.

We’re waiting for some crucial events and are going to update you with further information some time next month.
