Switzerland, 20th April 2022 — As many of you already know if you follow our activity, Chainode Tech is always striving to join promising networks that bring a real contribution to the decentralized space. Quality over quantity, always. There are already many innovative Proof of Stake protocols that we joined as a Validator and infrastructure provider since early Testnet phases which used leading-edge consensus and scaling solutions that elevated the blockchain ecosystem like Proof of History (in the case of Solana) or Avalanche Consensus (in the case of Avalanche). In the recent year/months we did not notice any major innovative breakthroughs in terms of network architecture and infrastructure, but this changed when we came across Celestia - the first modular blockchain network.

What is Celestia and why we decided to support it

The key word about Celestia is “modular”. The protocol is using a modular consensus and data network, created in order to enable anyone to easily deploy their own blockchain in the most efficient way, with significantly less friction.

By decoupling the consensus and application execution layers, Celestia differentiates itself from the existing protocols, and this comes with a couple of interesting advantages: deploying a blockchain will become as easy as deploying a smart contract, scaling will be pushed forward with data availability sampling which means that Celestia’s throughput will scale in correlation with the number of users, secure interoperability for all Celestia chains, flexibility for developers to define their own execution environments (with initial focus on EVM and Cosmos SDK) & more.

The modularization of the blockchain technology is something untackled until now and we believe that it will unlock unforeseen possibilities for decentralized application builders.

At Chainode Tech we are strong supporters of pioneer players that are eager to change the world as we know it with their vision and hard work. Because of this and due to the particularities mentioned before about the modular approach, we decided to join Celestia as a strong supporter. We already joined the Celestia Devnet — an important phase before the launch of the Public Testnet which will be announced in the following weeks/months. If you want to be up to date with the further developments on both Celestia & Chainode Tech side, make sure to follow the social channels shared below. Let the celestial journey begin! ⚡️

See you in Amsterdam!

We are happy to share that Chainode Tech will be in Amsterdam — The Netherlands for the Modular Summit! 🎉

The event will take place on April 21st and is hosted by Maven 11 and Celestia. It will gather a lot of awesome hard-working folks with representatives from projects like Celestia Labs, Solana, StarkWare, Polychain Capital, Maven 11, Polygon & more!

If you see this logo, come say hi! 👇

For anyone that will be in Amsterdam during the event and wants to meet us, feel free to DM us on Twitter and we can work on setting up a meeting.
