Zug — Switzerland, 7 September 2020 Chainode Tech, a distributed ledger technology (DLT) validation service provider and blockchain consultant based in Zug, Switzerland, announced today the start of a new partnership with Band Protocol, one of the leading cross-chain data oracle platforms in the decentralized space that aggregates and connects real-world data and APIs to smart contracts.

With a total delegation amount across multiple networks of over 5 Million USD (as of September 7th 2020), Chainode Tech joined Band Protocol on both the GuanYu Testnet and Wenchang Mainnet earlier this year, with the long-term goal of supporting the project from both a technical perspective, through professional-grade validation services on Mainnet and active participation on Testnet, and a business perspective, by contributing to the expansion and adoption of Band Protocol.

Considering the fact that Chainode Tech is active as a validator on networks that are already part of the Band Protocol Oracle Partners, like for example ICON Network, the team is committed to further help with the adoption of smart contracts in these ecosystems as well as in the ones that will be joined in the future. The partnership will also materialize through the onboarding of new validators from these ecosystems on the Band Protocol Network with the help of Chainode Tech, in order to increase its decentralization as well as boost the number of total oracle service providers (oracle integration).

Oracles are of crucial importance within the blockchain space because besides broadening the scope in which smart contracts can operate, they also feed the smart contracts with trustworthy external information without blindly relying on a third party. Our team is really happy and proud to become an active part of the Band Protocol ecosystem, an innovative project with a great positive impact on how the decentralized world is being built. Through this partnership we are committed to contribute to the impact that Band Protocol Oracles have in this emerging and constantly developing space. We would like to congratulate the Band Protocol team for what they have achieved until now and to invite the community to join and support us in bringing oracle services closer to the real world.” said Ionut Scirlet, Founder of Chainode Tech.

Band Protocol is thrilled to partner and onboard Chainode, an institutional-grade service provider across top blockchain networks, as a BandChain Validator. Our teams will work together to test and secure Band Protocol in our upcoming public migration from Phase 0 to Phase 1.” shared Soravis Srinawakoon, CEO & Co-Founder of Band Protocol.

About Band Protocol

Band Protocol is a cross-chain data oracle platform that aggregates and connects real-world data and APIs to smart contracts. The project also enables smart contract applications such as DeFi, prediction markets, and games to be built on-chain without relying on the single point of failure of a centralized oracle. Band Protocol is backed by a strong network of stakeholders including Sequoia Capital, one of the top venture capital firms in the world, and the leading cryptocurrency exchange, Binance.

About Chainode Tech

Founded in early 2019, Chainode Tech is a young, extremely motivated and experienced team based in Zug, Switzerland, that is focused on providing staking and validator services on cutting edge Distributed Ledger Technology (DLT) protocols. Driven by the motivation of bringing decentralization in the real world and with the experience of getting to know the blockchain space since 2014, the team decided that it was time to get actively involved in the space as Chainode Tech and to vote with their knowledge and services projects that they believe in and see as technically pertinent of growing the decentralized space.

In addition to Band Protocol, Chainode Tech is active also on multiple other Testnet and Mainnet networks, such as Solana, Harmony Protocol, ICON Network, KAVA, CertiK or The Graph.
