Global Acceleration Program for Sustainability (GAPS) Initiative for Small Family Farms
HOUSTON, TX USA — April 15, 2022 — Chainparency, a blockchain technology company focused on the issues of trust and authenticity, today announced plans through its Global Acceleration Program for Sustainability (GAPS) initiative to provide qualified small-scale farmers with 100% funded monthly use of Chainparency’s GoTrace track and traceability application. This 12-month program is designed to encourage and empower small family farmers to adopt new practices, digital solutions, and cutting edge technologies to include blockchain. Chainparency anticipates that the GAPS initiative will enable farmers to further accelerate their pursuit of sustainability standards, to more efficiently meet compliance and reporting needs, and ultimately to become more competitive in the marketplace and engaged in global supply chain digital traceability efforts.
Globally, enterprises are increasingly adopting blockchain technology-based solutions. Unlike traditional centralized data network systems, which are siloed, opaque, and prone to fraud and cyber attacks, blockchain-based systems result in the real-time collection of cryptographically authenticated and time-stamped transactional data that is synchronized and secured by a distributed network of server nodes. Digitized data recorded on a blockchain ledger is permanent, irreversible, and fraud resistant. Blockchain-based systems are ideal for ensuring high fidelity data collection and transparent and real-time auditable supply chains.
Chainparency’s vision is to restore trust through community and technology. The company is working to provide any organization, regardless of size or budget, easy and affordable access to blockchain technology. Chainparency’s GoTrace application is the first true 100% turnkey blockchain SaaS traceability solution at scale. A mobile device and access to a printer (to print out QR codes) along with a subscription to GoTrace are all that is needed for users to commence with the real-time recording of key supply chain transactional data on a public blockchain ledger. As products move throughout the supply chain, key metadata, i.e. product chain of custody time stamps and geolocation coordinates, are real-time recorded and auditable on a blockchain ledger. GoTrace can help enterprises to better substantiate claims and ensure end-to-end traceability and auditability of product supply chains. Chainparency believes its GAPS initiative will not only help to better level the playing field for “first-mile” producers but, ultimately, will help farmers to realize operational efficiencies, better advance sustainability efforts, become more competitive and earn higher incomes leading to better livelihoods.
As part of the program, Chainparency will provide scheduled virtual office hours for GAPS participants in order to assist with the use of GoTrace and support farmers’ blockchain traceability efforts. Chainparency will promote and provide greater visibility of participants, their farms and products, and sustainability efforts. Without a set number of participants for its new GAPS initiative, Chainparency is encouraging all qualified farmers to apply. Pending the outcome of this initial cohort, Chainparency looks forward to further increasing the intake of small scale harvesters and producers and expanding the program in new sectors throughout the USA and, eventually, globally. Interested farmers will need to submit an application to participate in the GAPS initiative, which Chainparency will be accepting on a rolling basis until 12/31/2022. Qualified applicants must be operating a farm in the USA and generate gross cash farm income of less than US $350,000 annually.
