Appeal and Availability

Coinomi is a multi-asset wallet that can appeal to users of many different levels of experience managing digital assets. The multi-asset wallet is allowed to be used in different ways, with its simple, yet functional visual interfaces. Coinomi’s multi-asset functionality allows for varied use, from BTC multi-wallets to varied portfolios. Its dynamic to custom transaction fees for all assets is another feature that attracts users of varied skill levels. Coinomi is available both on android and IOS, and several languages.

Multi-Asset Focus

Coinomi currently supports over a hundred digital assets, including coins and tokens. The balance of the user’s multi-asset portfolio is presented in the overview screen, which is updated every time the app is opened. Each wallet’s balance is listed underneath the portfolio’s total, and updated in its own denomination and the default equivalent. The default currency can be changed in the settings menu, located from pressing the top-right menu button. The top-left button’s menu features built-in shapeshift and changelly exchanges, the ability to invest in token sales, lists the multi-asset portfolio and allows for the addition of new wallets.

Appearance and Feel

Coinomi’s design may look plain, but that’s one way it makes it feel fast. Another way it feels fast is the menu transitions, which are rapid sliding motions. Some things can be made better, like the built-in exchanges. There could be an option to select multiple wallets at once, and convert and send them all to a desired address. Whenever you reopen the app, you can tell if your balance is done updating by the presence or absence of a thin colored bar at the top of the screen.

Simple Multi-Asset Management

Whenever an existing wallet is chosen, its transaction history is listed vertically by date in the balance tab, with inputs and outputs colored differently. The receive tab displays the current address with its QR code, with options to specify amounts and to use older addresses. Copy address and share buttons appear in the top-right corner. On the balance and send tabs, buttons with QR codes can be pressed to activate the phone’s camera.

Security and Privacy

With Coinomi, your private keys are stored on your device. When transactions are pushed to the blockchain, Coinomi hides your IP address. Coinomi is a hierarchal deterministic wallet, which means that a user’s one master password can be used to restore their entire multi-asset wallet. An earlier, yet not current version of Coinomi’s source code is available from its website.
