ChainZilla Selected to Pitch at Volcano Innovation Summit 2019 — Antigua
ChainZilla, a project launched on Komodo Platform has been selected to pitch at Startup Avenue at the annual Volcano Innovation Summit. Our goal is to showcase our achievements, Chameleon Pay as our MVP, and compete for the finalist prize.
Startup Avenue is a competition that aims to show the world the potential that Guatemala has in terms of innovation and entrepreneurship.
This competition offers a space to 50 national and international ventures to exhibit their business models in front of the Volcano Summit community and the general public. The 50 ventures will have the opportunity to perform a business pitch in front of a select panel of judges and classify to different rounds, thus giving their venture not only the opportunity to be evaluated and heard by potential investors and mentors, but also the opportunity to qualify for future rounds and win important prizes.
The enterprises will be divided according to their maturity in the following three categories:
- Business Idea: From those businesses that have already defined their business plan and already developed an MVP (Minimum Viable Product) to those with less than six months in market.
- Seed and Early Stage: For those ventures that have at least six months in the market but less than two years. They already have an initial work team and clients but need capital to continue growing.
- Growth & Scalability: For those enterprises or businesses that have more than two years in the market, have an established team and seek to maximize their sales and/ or raise capital to continue growing. They have a strong validated business model.
Each of these categories will function independently under different qualification parameters and will compete only with the undertakings of its same category.
Each of the 50 participants will go through the following selection process
Pre-selection — Completed
Location: Online
Date: Applications close April 22nd and winners will be announced April 26, 2019.
- Details: From the entire pull of applications a committee will select the best 50 startups and businesses
Round 1
Location: Hotel Selina
Date: May 4, 2019
- Details: The 50 pre-selected startups and businesses will present 3 minutes in front of Judges. The best 20 will be selected for Round 2.
Round 2
Location: Hotel Casa Santo Domingo
Date: May 6, 2019
- Details: The 20 classified startups and businesses will present 4 minutes in front of Judges. The best 3 will be selected as finalists.
