A Write or Die Response

.

A writer waiting to devour

Dickens’ Heart and Soul

Whence come at last the midnight hour

Blood scratched upon a scroll

The writing worm eats earth and stones

But the quill has left his story

Cut out his liver eat all his bones

His words are for Eternity

(Subdue your appetites, my dears,

and you’ve conquered human nature*)

But Dickens’ heart beats on my desk

His kidneys I had with Chianti

.

*Charles Dickens Quote

Jazalyn AJ Cannon you have been entered to the Hell of the Dead by me. To escape to the Living Hall, you will have to recreate this piece in your own words or extend it as part of the Write or Die collaboration. Failure to comply will leave your name and soul in the Hell of the Dead.

Two writers I truly enjoy reading. Will be fun to see if they live or die.
