no hugs
no embrace to offer

no shoulder for the bereaved to cry on
no one to provide solace and balm

alone with thoughts, regrets, grief & memories!

Author’s Note: A depressing plight of families who have lost their loved ones to covid-19. There are people at the end of a call, but to all intents and purposes, one feels alone, to get through this.

Such is the nature of death in the times of Covid. You die alone, those that are left behind mourn alone...
