Why?
he whimpered

left unheard

again

none understood

he wanted to scream
& cry

But no,
he held back his tears

deaded his little soul

no longer man
but stone.

Author’s note- It’s time to stop. To stop telling the boy not to cry. Does he too not have emotions? Does he not deserve a chance to express himself?

It is we who can change this social stigma. Let him Cry. It is time we break the ever so tight barriers of masculinity.

Do U still believe boys can’t cry?

Maybe you should ask yourself- Why?

Why can’t I let him cry?

This is based on Kathy’s amazing poem and prompt-

A huge thanks to Kathy Jacobs and Harper Thorpe
