Prayer sent from prison cell
bounced against impenetrable walls,
heard only as ringing echo.
Inspired by the stirring Hindi song “Dua” from the soundtrack of movie “Shanghai”
जो भेजी थी दुआ
वो जाके आसमाँ से यूँ टकरा गई
के आ गई है लौट के सदा
