hiding tears of time
gone days spent careless,

repenting the crime
of love boundless…

gone days spent careless
immersed in each other,
eyes screaming yes,
lips arcing to smother

immersed in each other’s
scent, as skin touches skin,
lips arcing to smother
with delectable sin

scent — as skin touches skin,
love blooms in lust,
with delectable sin,
as bodies thrust

love blooms in lust
and yet alas,
while bodies thrust,
time must pass

and yet alas,
even for the Sidhe,
time must pass,
they cannot break free —

even the Sidhe —
from the laws that bind,
they cannot break free
so they stood disjoined.

the laws that bind
shattered him to nothing
they were disjoined
till the end of everything

shattered to nothing
her soul in limbo waited
till the end of everything
eternal life she execrated

her soul in limbo waited
as the eons slowly turned
eternal life she execrated
for him, her life, she yearned

as the eons slowly turned
repenting the love crime
for him, her life, she yearned
hiding tears of time

This poem is part of the Passing Pantoums project on Chalkboard. I borrowed a pair of lines from this pantoum:
