Costa Rica natives (Ticos) often call their significant other “media naranja,” which means “the other half of their orange.”

T
raveling the world,
I drifted, wanderlust
entombed fossilized pain
until fate excavated
you and I
became utterly devoted
to denuding my name
in tongues, devastating
the catacombs.
