No Peace on Earth

Inspired by Anita Rajan’s one-line “Piece” poetry prompt

When tomorrow seems far too far to go,
Demons tear the light from the viscera of your soul
And the pieces seem easier than you ever felt whole

When your only sun is an eclipse
And your heart is choking in the abyss
What is left worth saving?
