Squander it all!
Screamed the Neanderthal heart
Counsel to a blind fool’s might;
insatiable yearnings devoid of content,
till Epiphany’s cruel curse
of twenty-twenty hindsight.

Inspired by the fun little project that is the Chalkboard one line poetry prompt. This one relates to the prompt: Squander by writer forceOfHabit.

Based on Dali’s work of the same name as seen above, I had a play about with the theme of hindsight - namely the crux of human nature to be so overly obsessed with the future that we forget to take time to enjoy the present.
