One-line Poem

The mirror whispers reflected lies;
Familiar blue eyes, but the grey hair
And wrinkles an unbidden surprise.
Surely, my heart feels too youthful
To have served this much time.

Many thanks to the delicious prompt and poem “Time” by Lee-Anne Hancock. Many thanks to our hosts Kathy Jacobs and Harper Thorpe and the rest of the talented Chalkboard team!
