To the careless eye,
distance between reunions
signifies faltering friendship;
to us, eighteen years and counting,
whenever our voices meet in ether or air,
time, space disappears, only connection remains
The three of us met on the first day of undergrad. There was and is a connection that persists, despite us having spent most of our lives in different places, despite finding little chances to meet. Our friendship is as strong today as it was during those halcyon college days. I don’t know how I got so lucky!
