Summer’s younger sister,
Princess-like with finery
Of rose and lemon,
Gentle, gentile, and delicate —
The favored child
Witch-like with raging fury,
Petulant and huffy,
Ferocious and furious —
The evil twin,
Which is she,
This Spring
That leaves us
Baffled and befuddled,
Waiting for the
Certainty of summer?
