The Woman Who Murdered Her Husband on Valentine’s Day
After attending a murder mystery dinner theatre with his wife, Steve was found dead in their suite.
Steve Hricko and Mike Miller were the best of friends since the seventh grade. They attended Pennsylvania State University together, took up jobs in the same occupation, and even married two women who were best friends, each being the best man at the other’s wedding.
Steve and Mike had looked forward to being a part of each milestone the other would experience, from their 25th wedding anniversaries to watching their children say “I do” to becoming grandparents for the very first time. Unfortunately, life doesn’t always go according to plan.
In the late 1980s, Mike’s future wife Maureen befriended a woman named Kimberly. The women waitressed together at a steakhouse near campus and immediately hit it off. Kimberly was uninhibited and sociable with a wide circle of friends, a seemingly perfect match for the gregarious Steve.
The Millers played cupid and set up a double date and by all accounts, it was love at first sight for Steve. In March of 1989, Kimberly became Mrs. Hricko and a year later, she gave birth to their first and only child, Anna.
