What’s the importance of symbolic cultural things?
Physical, soul-tied, gold of selfhood.
The connection to the land, brethren, family. Unable to break the ties; laterally unable to break them.

Allying to land & people.

Mine. Not yours.
Invading forces force.

Killing all but two, then begging them to open their hearts; to share their gold. Doesn’t work.

How could it?

Is it inevitable to continue warring?

Blood feud and vengeance bile.
Wrath expended until two are exhausted.
Spent, direly injured, dead inside.
Sold their gold for lead-ware hearts.

Not rewarding violence, hostility.

Imprisoning yourself; trapping truth.
Then being trapped by the environmental blocks.

Physical impairment.
Loss of status.
Lack of access.
Disintegration.
Disorganisation.
Dissent.
Deserving.

Is the personhood worth the pain?
Is it sovereign to reign supreme and boundaried?
Or are these situations designed to invite surrender to?

Maybe all three, and more.
