#1 - Immutable Truth of Behavior Change

Change is due to want power. Wanting the new addiction more than the old one. Wanting the new me in preference to the person I am now — George A. Sheehan.

For a very long time, I have wanted to do XYZ…

This is the sad reality of most of our lives.

  • Businesses have never been initiated 5 years down the line.
  • You have not mended the broken relationship with your friend for 11 months.
  • You have never finished your undergraduate since you paid full school fees 3 years ago.
  • You have never started on the Keto diet since you wrote it as your 2021 resolution.
  • You have never read a book since you came out of school despite your intentions.

Truth # 1: Change is hard

It is hard to initiate a behavior change, otherwise, we wouldn’t be having such an inexhaustible list of goals that we’ve never achieved.

Year after year, we know how important it is to save, invest, start a business, or build skills for the future, but we hardly get ourselves to begin the habit, and neither do we sustain the already budding habits.
