1 Interviewee I Spoke to This Morning Kept Asking Me This 1 Question. I’m Confused.
She [only] has one question on repeat…
The hiring season is here. Again.
Angel and I discussed and agreed to hire 2 more sales professionals to join our team. We needed help to increase our revenue contribution by 10%. I submitted my request to HR and got a call from James [our HR Director].
“2 heads for final picks. Okay. Initial funnel of 40?”
It sounded correct. 40 for initial sizing, 20 to come for interview round 1, 5 for the pre-finals, and 2 to start work. I gave James my okay.
I got to meet the first interviewee 2 weeks later.
She left a deep impression on me.
The interview session this morning
She introduced herself as Dawn.
I shook her hands and thanked her for coming. James followed suit. Dawn was in business attire and was comfortable in a foreign setting. She also made an effort to keep the conversation going.
“Nice you for having me. This is a beautiful place and centrally located. Am I right to assume clients are within our arm’s length?”
