10 Thoughts That Show You Are Healing
#8 ‘I’m not perfect and that’s fine.’
Working on my next board presentation on acquisition targets, I felt incredibly bored and empty.
I was tired of thinking about making more money for people who already had enough.
I had this burning desire to do something meaningful with my life. Instead, I was stuck on a stupid PowerPoint presentation.
This feeling was new.
Before I was only thinking about myself — my ‘problems’ which 99% I’d created for myself.
As my healing progressed, a gentle, kind, and motivating voice emerged in my mind. My inner monologue shifted from focusing on the negative to looking for ways to create the change I craved.
This voice guided me to take small steps toward the life I wanted— nothing crazy. But over time, I transitioned from corporate finance to working as a sustainability expert.
It is hard to move away from something you are really good at and which comes with financial security.
But the more I was healing, the more trust I gained in myself and, the more I felt worthy of doing what I love and capable enough to pull it off.
