(besides the obvious ~ walking, reading, writing, driving a car…..)

  1. Life doesn’t start when *fill in the blank*.

I feel like I was always hearing the people tell me about when I go to college or when I “enter the real world” then xyz… I find that frustrating now because life is always happening. There’s no need to wait.

2. Feelings are your friends — embrace them like you would a human friend. 🤍

3. Learn how to come home to yourself, anytime or anywhere. It helps when you feel lost out there… 👣

4. Take some time to identify your comfort zones. And then get the f*ck out of there sometimes.

5. Sleep and eat. That sounds easy enough but at one point I convinced myself I didn’t need to do either in fact I thought I could feel more accomplished and successful if I gave these things up.

6. Everything is energy. *pause to think deeply*

7. Perspective is extraordinarily powerful. I’m still wrangling with this one a bit myself.

8. Expand your vocabulary ~ it’s fun, and also helps you get out of autopilot in a small but meaningful way.

9. Look to the stars and beyond. Don’t forget that no one really knows why we are on earth or what’s out in space so yeah, that deadline is important but also maybe look up from your computer and see what’s up there in the vastness.

10. You have great wisdom within.

11. Slow ~ down. I stopped wearing a “badge of busyness” for some time now but it can be easy to forget.

12. Ask yourself, why?

13. Buy new clothes. You will feel fresh AF.

14. Be creativeeeeeeee ❤

15. Practice gratitude every day. No matter how much you get, if you’re not grateful for what you have now, none of it will matter.

16. Meditate every day. Learn how ~ trust me.

17. Laugh every single day.

18. Smile at strangers :).

19. As you absorb the world of inst baddies, tiktok lesbians, twitter trolls, and vsco girls, don’t forget to create at the same rate.

20. Spend time learning about your strengths, powers, and passions and then help others find theirs.

21. Unsubscribe to the norm of whatever you feel you should.

22. See the beauty. Don’t be jaded as you look around your life. See something new in someplace you’ve seen a million times before.

23. Let go.

24. Write your head down.

25. Stay open. Especially at times when you hear yourself telling yourself otherwise. The outcome will change you.

26. Change and be change.

Cheers to 26 and the Happiest New Year!
