4 Habits I Quit to Feel Calmer

I was living my best life — calm, grateful, and in control. Then, I started a new chapter: going back to work full-time while my son, Levi, started kindergarten.

And just like that, all my good habits went flying out the window.

It felt like reaching the next level in a video game — suddenly, everything was faster, harder, and full of new challenges I wasn’t prepared for. What worked before wasn’t cutting it anymore.

I had to pause, reassess, and let go of the habits that were making things harder.

But isn’t that the point of life?

It throws challenges our way so we can grow into the best version of ourselves. As Wayne Dyer wisely said:

Everything is either an opportunity to grow or an obstacle to keep you from growing. You get to choose.

Imagine if everything were always easy — how boring would that be? And where would that leave us?

Here are the 4 things I quit this month to level up and find my way back to calm.
