Sleeping is so underrated. We see it as something we have to do to recharge, but often we are annoyed that we are losing those hours of life. When in fact we are gaining the quality of our waking hours during that time. I’ve been on a journey to optimize my sleep for the past 6 weeks, and I can say that not only how long you sleep matters but also how.
Getting 7–8 hours of sleep was a must for me, but even when I managed to do that constantly, I often felt not rested. My teachers in this experiment of sleeping better were Dr. Huberman, I’ve listed all his podcasts on sleep and Dr. Matthew Walker (one of Huberman’s podcast guests) and his book “Why We Sleep”.
Now, I am going to go through everything that I’ve learned, and in the end I’ll tell you my evening routine that helps me get the best sleep ever.
