7 Little Reminders When Everything Feels Overwhelming

Do you feel like sometimes life is too much?

When the world feels heavy, it’s easy to think you’re failing.

But overwhelm is part of being human. And while it doesn’t magically disappear, there are ways to make it feel lighter.

I hold onto seven little reminders when it feels too much.

Maybe they’ll help you, too.

You don’t have to fix your whole life today.

When everything’s a mess, your brain will try to convince you that the only solution is to clean it all up right now.

It’s impossible. Most things can wait.

You feel overwhelmed because you believe you have to do it all at once.

But it’s a lie.

Pick one thing. Just one. And do it. Even if it’s something stupid like unloading the dishwasher or replying to a text.

Write down everything on your mind. Then circle just three things that matter today.

Let the rest wait — because it can.

When I’m overwhelmed, I clean my kitchen counter. It’s dumb, but seeing one tiny part of my world in order helps me feel like I’m not falling apart after all.
