Emotional maturity is the foundation of solid relationships and long-lasting love. Two emotionally mature individuals form the perfect ingredients for a happy relationship.

My last relationship wasn’t mature. We fought fights not worth fighting, like the timing of text messages. I felt lonely when my partner wasn’t around and became jealous when he’d spend time with his friends. We held each other responsible for our wellbeing.

Many people live in unhealthy relationships and are unable to read, label, and communicate their emotions and needs. Schools don’t teach us how to deal with our feelings. Neither do we get better in managing our feelings by growing older.
