A Business Partner I Trust Tried Stealing My Customer. I’m [Completely] Disgusted.
The story, what I learned, and my simple business advice.
I recall that fateful morning.
One of my business partners dropped an email requesting for an emergency support. The “prospect” he spoke to wants a software demonstration from him.
You will understand why prospect is written as “prospect” in a bit.
And well, I thought, it has been a [darn] long while since this business partner brought me some sales. It might be a good thing.
That said, I was not in a rush to give him free access to the trial platform. I wanted to know who the “prospect” was first.
But I got hijacked.
Isabelle acted fast because she was rushing…
… to lunch.
Sigh. I wish Isabelle would not be so reckless. It’s done. Everything is on her email. URL, demo user ID, and password.
I remember thinking…oh sh!t.
I didn’t know why I had that inner voice. It must be my gut speaking to me. I rushed to Isabelle’s desk, hoping we could recall that email.
