Neither your friend nor your neighbor will love you more than you love yourself. The truth of life we tend to be ignorant of.

Too often, we think that the love and validation we seek from others will compensate for a lack of self-love and self-acceptance.

The harsh reality, it won’t.

Loving yourself starts with you. If you seek love from somewhere else, you’ll never find it. No relationship is stronger than a loving relationship with yourself.

Self-love is an underrated and often unrecognized form of self-care. Yet it’s so powerful and can change you into a better person. It can make you more appreciative of yourself. It can erase the wounds of the past and help you live more in the present. It can transform you into a better version of yourself.

Self-love is transformational

When we don’t love ourselves enough, we fixate on our flaws rather than appreciating our positive qualities. We forget how blessed we are in life and forget to count our blessings. As a result, we feel stuck like a mouse in a mouse trap.
