If you’re lacking in the success department — be it with your business, mind, body, or relationship— here’s something that will cheer you up on the self-doubt front:

Everyone has it.

Did you hear that? Everyone has feelings of self-doubt. From successful writers to famous fashion designers to life coaches to Kim Kardashian, absolutely no one is exempt from feeling insecure about themselves and their businesses from time to time.

While it’s comforting to know all entrepreneurs deal with the same fears and anxieties about their chosen career paths, it’s even more comforting to know we can minimize — and even get rid of — the psychological blocks that keep us from being as great as we can be.

The Power of Mantras

Judi Holler, social entrepreneur, motivational speaker, and author of “Fear is My Homeboy” (among other best-selling books), uses humor to help people live braver lives, protect their mental health, and build high-performance habits that last. She believes fear is not the enemy in your life — comfort is.

One of those high-performance habits is reciting 10 “I Am” power statements every morning, which she claims to be one of the most fundamental transformations she made in her life.

These “I Am” power statements are things she deems true about herself, and things she wishes to be true about herself. Essentially, reciting these power statements (or mantras) trains the brain to look on all sides of situations — not just the bright side, and not just the stressful side.

Way too often, we fall victim to negative self-talk, telling ourselves things like, “I’m horrible with money, I’m terrible at confrontation, No one cares about my products…”

But if we flip the script and reprogram our brains to think bigger, bolder, and better in terms of ourselves and our creative pursuits, the entire game can be changed.

Here are a few examples of Judi’s “I Am” power statements

I am healthy and disease free

I am a multi-million dollar entrepreneur

I live in a gorgeous Scottsdale home

I am worthy of wealth

I am going to crush it on my podcast interview today

I am only flying first class

I am great at having hard conversations

Conclusion

Whether it’s a mental roadblock or revenue goal that’s preventing you from moving forward, positive affirmations have the power to shift your mindset and allow you to unleash all of the amazing potential you know lives inside of you.

The point is to get your mind right, first thing in the morning, by owning these “I Am” power statements — out loud and proud, and maybe even with a little dance.

Pro tip: Be yourself.
