Approaching a Decade of Writing, Some Hard Truths Few Will Share
It gets better — hopefully — but not easier
Writing is many things.
It tends to be lonely — you, your thoughts, and a keyboard.
The hope, for most writers anyway, is to impact those reading our words. We want to move someone, and if we get it just right, eventually, multiple ones.
I wrote my first book in 2014, and I’ve gone on to write a grand total of — wait for it — zero books since then.
But that’s only part of the story.
In the last ten years, I’ve written screenplays, short stories, and published hundreds of articles. The vast majority of my words live online — through Medium and other sites — continuing to help readers and writers alike.

A bedtime tradition
