I’ve always wanted to be a bridge between two
Dissimilar standpoints, a preventive of the practice
That the holder of one viewpoint refuses to hear other
Input, holding unassailable its own.
Can’t there be a bridge so we are not blocked
From one another, from learning, from opening our minds
To more than we alone can see, can understand today.
For me it’s dearly needed and perhaps emerges
From common need unrelated to…
