Drinking a cup of tea is comforting and soothing to my body and mind.

Although I’m not a huge tea drinker during summer, it’s my go-to beverage (besides water) during autumn and winter.

Drinking tea has long been associated with various health and wellness benefits.

One of the most significant advantages is its high content of antioxidants, particularly polyphenols, which help to combat oxidative stress in the body.

A study published in the Journal of Agricultural and Food Chemistry found that these antioxidants can reduce the risk of chronic diseases such as heart disease and cancer by neutralizing free radicals that damage cells.

Additionally, regular tea consumption has been linked to improved cardiovascular health.

A comprehensive European Journal of Preventive Cardiology review demonstrated that tea drinkers have a lower risk of developing heart disease, largely due to tea catechins’ anti-inflammatory and cholesterol-lowering effects.
