Everything You Need to Know About Living Your Life.
What Truly Matters and What Not
Life is short.
And then you die.
But first, did you know how improbable it actually is to get born?
The mathematical probability of you, or any particular individual for that matter, being born is estimated to be about 1 in 400 trillion!
[While it’s challenging to assign a precise numerical probability to the occurrence of a particular individual being born, the calculation attempts to factor in the probability of the specific sperm and egg cells uniting to create a unique genetic combination, among many other variables.]
Yes, the odds for any single one of us coming into existence are forever against our favour.
However, once you’re born, the chances you’ll die are a full 100%.
It’s true, there’s no other way “out”.
It’s as certain as… death!
Pun intended
So, knowing just how precious your life is, and how most certainly you’ll be dead for a long time before you’re born as well as for a long time after you die, what would you like to do with this one life gifted to you?
After all, it’s your life!
That’s the one question I love to talk about with my good friend Philipp. We can talk about this for hours.
Especially now, as Philipp has advanced stage colon cancer.
You see, when we were just 18 years young, he invented what we like to refer to as the “theory of nothing”.
Trust me, it’s a fascinating mindfuck.
Why don’t you get yourself a beer first?
The Meaning of Life
You see, life is meant to be enjoyed, here and now.
Cheers to that!
But: We all come with an expiry date.
And somehow, when you think about it, it’s not a bad thing.
Life on our planet has been designed to be that way, it’s meant to evolve.
Old sh!t needs to go, new stuff needs space.
